Chemical substances, fuel and construction material

We provide safe carriage of dangerous goods.

Railway is the safest type to transport dangerous goods. By handling and carrying dangerous goods and all types of fuel in line with the relevant safety requirements, we are able to provide the experience and expertise necessary to ensure the safety and technology required in the carriage of dangerous goods.

Our core services comprise:

• Transport planning (on your request, we can design customised transport solutions in both domestic and international transport to ensure a high level of safety and reliability, and an efficient flow of goods);

• Carriage of goods on the route specified (regular train services for wagon-load consignments, and customised timetables for block trains in line with your needs and requirements);

• Advisory services on safety and loading procedures (domestic transport of dangerous goods and fuel is subject to national rules and regulations, while international carriage is governed by RID)

Dangerous goods and fuel are mostly transported in specialised wagons which have to meet goods-specific safety and loading requirements. The carriage can be made using your own or rented wagons, or wagons provided through our network of private wagon keepers.

Chemical substances

Because of the strict safety requirements involved, carrying chemical substances can be a considerable challenge in rail transport. We therefore make sure such orders are handled by qualified experts and using specialised equipment based on the type of goods carried and according to your wishes.

Petrol and other fuel types

Transporting fuel by rail plays an important role in the global logistics chain, as it keeps the economy going on both national and local level. Because they can carry a larger volume of goods at a time, provide greater safety during transport, and are less harmful to the environment, trains have a clear edge over road freight when it comes to hauling fuel.

Construction material

We have the technology and the know-how to provide various transport solutions, from block trains for high-volume orders to carriage of palletised goods and bulk materials.
