SŽ-Tovorni promet the First Carrier in Slovenia to Transport a Train with a Gross Weight of 2,500 Tons

SŽ-Tovorni promet was the first carrier in Slovenia to transport a train with a gross weight of 2,500 tons. The Transport from Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia to the Italian city of Poggio Rusco was organized by Ferest Rail, with the participation of long-time partners Kombinovani prevoz, Enna transport, SŽ-Tovorni promet and Mercitalia Rail. The 480-meter-long train with 31 wagons left Dobova for Italy on Thursday, June 18, at 11:23 p.m., and arrived to Sežana on June 19 at 4:11 a.m. One locomotive pulled the train between Dobova and Ljubljana, and two locomotives were used between Ljubljana and Sežana.

On Monday, June 22, the first train with luxury vehicles arrived to Koper from the Slovak station Lužianky TIP (Nitra). As the market requires ever-increasing capacities and longer trains, SŽ-Tovorni promet has established a logistics solution for the transport of the long train with 18 wagons by unloading wagons in Celje or Zalog. The first run went according to plans and the additional wagons arrived to Koper only four hours after the train. On Monday, June 29, the second car train was already transported according to the plans, and according to the agreements, we expect regular future runs.

With these transports, SŽ-Tovorni promet once again proves to be an innovative company that is constantly developing its comprehensive solutions and adapting them to customer needs.
