The Slovenske železnice Group has achieved great business results in the first ten months of 2013 with EBIT and EBITDA hitting €11m and €42m, respectively, and net profit amounting to €12.32m, which is a massive improvement in comparison to the same period in 2012, when the Group was recording losses of over €700k. In the first ten months, operating revenues amounted to more than €400m and were up 11% on the same period in 2012.
Trains operated by Slovenske železnice carried over 14m tonnes of goods, which is up 5.7% on 2012 and also up 5.3% on the planned target for 2013.
Passenger services handled almost 14m passengers, which is 8.4% more than in the first ten months of 2012 and 4.2% higher than the business plan predictions.
With final expectations for EBIT and net profit set at €16mio and €13mio, respectively, the Group plans to reach almost a billion in total operating revenues, which will be ten times the results of the previous year.
