
Whether single or as part of a group, you can travel across Slovenia and benefit from a 50 percent discount with a K-13 card. You require only a few coins and some good will, and you will already be on your way...
Persons older than 60 years, elderly and disabled pensioners with a permanent address in Slovenia. Pensioners who are employed part time and children and youths who receive an orphan’s pension are not eligible for a discount.
• 30 percent: from Monday to Friday and
• 50 percent: on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays (on domestic trains)
Discounts are valid on production of a K-13 card.
Discounts are valid on the lines of Slovenian Railways.
The 30-percent discount applies also for the lines of Croatian railways if you travel from Slovenia to Croatia and/or vice versa.
The discount can be redeemed with an elderly person’s /pensioner’s discount card K-13. It is valid for purchasing tickets at the station or onboard the train, in the event that it was not possible for the passenger to purchase a ticket at the station where they boarded. Discounts are not redeemable if the passenger boarded the train at a station where it was possible to purchase the ticket prior to departure.
To purchase the card you must produce proof of identity along with your pension book for the current or previous month or proof from your bank that you receive a pension. The card is for sale at all railway stations.
