
Travelling in a group is more fun and it is cheaper too. A group of 6 or more people is entitled to a 20 percent discount. Groups of children receive a 50 percent discount.

To qualify for group travel, a group of at least 6 students, school pupils or trainees between the ages of 12 and 26 must be accompanied by a professor or mentor. The discount applies to one-way or return journeys and must be supported by the K-16 card as confirmation of entitlement to discounted group travel for young people and children. The holder (school, faculty, association or organisation) should complete the K-16 form in duplicate and have it authorised with a stamp and signature.
The K-16 ID card for discounted group fares for young people and children can be purchased at the ticket counter.
