Vibrant Vienna

The majestic sights of the Austrian capital leave no visitor cold: State Opera House, St. Stephen's Cathedral (known as ' Stephansdom' in German), Schönbrunn Palace, Hundertwasser Museum, and many other places are simply a must-see. If you haven't been to Vienna yet, this is the perfect chance to experience the city in all its glory and grandeur.  

Day 1: Ljubljana – Vienna 

Train departure from Ljubljana at 8:05. Journey via Zidani Most and Maribor to Vienna. Planned arrival to the Austrian capital at 14:02. Bus tour of the city's sights: State Opera House, New Hofburg (Vienna Imperial Palace), Maria Theresa Square, Austrian Parliament Building, Burgtheater (Imperial Court Theatre), Rathaus (Vienna Town Hall), University of Vienna, Urania (a public educational institute and observatory built by the renowned Art Nouveau architect Max Fabiani), as well as numerous churches and other landmarks. Stop at the palace of Belvedere. Bus tour of the Prater and UNO City, the United Nations Office building complex which features the beautiful Danube Tower, as well as of the renowned Hundertwasser House. Checking in at the hotel. Dinner at a 'Heuriger', a traditional Viennese tavern in the Grinzing district (booking and extra charges paid at check-in).

Day 2: Vienna 

Breakfast. Guided tour of the city centre and its sights (the price includes a two-day Vienna travel pass): St. Stephen's Cathedral, New Hofburg (which houses a museum of late Empress Elisabeth – Sisi Museum), Burgkapelle (Castle chapel), which hosts the ensemble of the Vienna Boys' Choir, St. Augustine's Church, where many Habsburg weddings took place, the Capuchin Church with the Habsburg Crypt, and many more. Free time for individual touring (e.g. the zoo, museums etc.). Return to the hotel.

Day 3: Vienna – Ljubljana

Breakfast. Bus ride to the former imperial summer residence Schönbrunn Palace, with an optional tour of the palace rooms at an extra charge. Free time for individual touring. Meeting up at the hotel and departure to the train station. Train departure to Ljubljana at 15:58, with planned arrival to Ljubljana train station at 21:38.
