Laško – Guided tour of the town and the brewery

Experience the sights of Laško, learn more about beer production and taste some, take a walk to the Tabor Castle and much more.

Why come to Laško?

The town of Laško lies at the altitude of 228 metres and is divided into the left and right bank by the Savinja River running through it. The town is surrounded by Mount Hum on the left side and Šmihel Peak on the right side. By taking a walk through Laško, the visitor discovers many old and beautiful sights making the locals very proud. The town has very little flat surfaces with just enough space for its river, road and rail tracks. Everything else leans against the foothills of nearby mountains. The old town is squeezed under Mount Hum and all newer buildings gradually make their way up the banks of the river. Due to restricted space, the town is no less inviting. Just the opposite.

In the past, Laško was visited and admired by various noblemen, politicians, artists and writers. Do not hesitate and come to see for yourself!
