Slovenian Railways is a wholly state-owned enterprise with six subsidiaries which Slovenian Railways owns outright, or in which it retains a majority stake. Slovenian Railways is an important part of the Slovenian economy and an essential link in the transport chain at the junction of Europe's fifth and tenth trans-continental transport corridors.

The Company's Vision
Slovenian Railways will become a regional logistics company and a significant provider of integrated logistics services to the fifth and tenth corridors, an integrated public transport carrier within Slovenia and an integrated regional operator of different forms of passenger traffic. Slovenian Railways will efficiently manage the public rail infrastructure to a high standard, and maintain and manage the railway traffic across its network.

The Company's Mission
Slovenian Railways carries out its public service mandate, which consists of: infrastructure maintenance; management of the traffic on the railway lines; the carriage of passengers on domestic and cross-border regional rail services and the transportation of passengers and goods, which is to be carried out under market conditions. In carrying out its task of managing the public rail infrastructure, it will contribute to the increased mobility of Slovenia's residents, and will ensure effective concern for the economy and for the environment.
